 under the covering of Alpha Ministries, Inc., is a truly unique ministry. It was birthed from a principle in God’s Word concerning a man named Joseph. You can read about him in the book of Genesis, beginning in chapter 37. Joseph, after a time of great trial and providential circumstances, found himself in a place where he could be the provider for his estranged family who was experiencing a great famine in their land. Had it not been for Joseph, his family might have perished.
Joseph’s Ministry is comprised of a devoted group of volunteers who seek to be the link between the “Josephs”, those blessed with resources and the desire to share with others, and those that are experiencing famine. Aid is distributed based on a set of qualifying criterion and can be applied to basic life necessities only.

We all know how important it is to stay connected with the friends and family in our lives. This seems to be especially apparent as we get older and are not always able to visit with friends or to get to church like we used to. Many of our seniors are leading very lonely lives, and remaining connected to their church family is vital to their wellbeing.
One of our most requested and gratifying ministries at Alpha is the Phone Ministry. We have the capability to stream the live audio portion of our services via the telephone into the home or hospital room of those that cannot attend a service. There’s nothing to compare to the koinonia experienced when the Body of Christ meets together, but when it’s not possible to be physically present, the Phone Ministry provides a very important bond that keeps Alpha family connected.

For the present time, we can only accept requests for service to those that are within the toll-free area of Greensburg, PA. We have a limited number of positions, so please place your request early.
